Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Located about six miles west of Downtown Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is one of the most famous racetracks in America and the world. It has hosted numerous automobile and motorcycle races since its inception in 1909, including the Indy 500, Formula One Grand Prix, and, briefly, the MotoGP. Today it is a National Historic Landmark. It is so well-known that in 1987 the racetrack hosted the 1987 Pan American opening ceremonies and speed roller skating competition.

NASCAR Hall of Fame

Lastly, the NASCAR Hall of Fame is the prime location for race car culture. In Charlotte, North Carolina, visitors can see the greatest drivers, crews, owners, and anyone else who influenced the motorsport.
